Fitting New Oak Stable Door.

My next job was to hang a new solid oak stable door, with new 3 lever dead lock, new handles, new bolt and new letterbox.

The existing door.

The bottom of the door fitted.

The finished door.

Outside.

Inside.

Fitting 16 Pane Window.

My next job was to replace a 16 pane window that needed it.

The removed frame.

The inside of the new fitted window just needs some mastic to seal the gaps.

I filled the gaps with expanding foam.

The finshed window.

Fitting Imitation Sliding Sash Window.

Next job was to fit the curved window I had made earlier, because I was replacing a traditional sliding sash frame I had to fill out the reveals with 6"x 2" timbers to replace the void were the weights were.

The void left after removing the frame.

The timber infills that the frame will be fitted to.

The fitted frame, now to fit the bottom sash that is an opening sash.

I filled the remaining gaps with expanding foam.

The finished window.

Now its time to make good to the inside of the frame.

All finished, just a coat of paint required now.

Fitting French doors and Frames.

My next job was to fit the french doors and frames I had made, they were a perfect fit although I had some making good to do. Removing the old frames and doors was a bit of a pain as they were old and had been painted over a few times in the years they were there, they were also put in with cut nails.

The frames were fitted with new 6 inch frame fixings. Now to fit the 3" architrave and mastic around the frames.

The inside of the doors, fitted with 3" eclipse stainless steel butts, 150mm bottom bolt, 500mm top bolt and 2 fitch patters turn locks.

150mm Bottom bolt.

500mm top bolt.

Fitch patterns.

I had to make good with new timber between the frames and the existing shutters.

After the timber infill was fitted, just a coat of paint needed now.
